Imagine for a moment that you awaken on a beautiful Paris morning, taking your morning coffee and warm, buttery croissant on your very own secluded garden terrace. Step outside and stroll along the Seine, virtually at your doorstep. Stop for a moment to admire the stunning gothic architecture of Notre Dame cathedral. Look forward to an al fresco meal by candlelight on your garden terrace, anticipating the fun of shopping for your menu at the colorful local markets. The ancient meaning of La Closerie is pleasure garden. . .aptly named indeed. The building origins are 14th century (a mere two centuries after the construction of Notre Dame was begun.) The kitchen and bathroom are strikingly and stylishly modern. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment, sheltered and set back from little rue de Bièvre. The living room is some forty feet or so from end-to-end, with windows facing the Seine. The architectural features are outstanding. There is the original open-beam ceiling and unusual stone buttresses. Furnishings are comfortable - contemporary together with abundant antiques set against polished wood floors and flaxen-colored walls.

In the bedroom there are two single beds which can be made up together as a king-size bed, or separately. There are three single daybeds in the living room.
